KAWAMA Tequila & Soda is created by two siblings and former college athletes, Lindsay and Kersey Reed. Stuck at home over Covid, the two saw the market’s need for a lighter canned tequila cocktail. Thus, Kawama was born. Lindsay played ice hockey at Harvard and won two gold medals with Team USA, and Kersey played lacrosse at St. Lawrence.

KAWAMA is a better-for-you canned cocktail that touts blanco tequila, real lemon, lime, and grapefruit juice, nothing artificial, lower carbonation, and only 99 calories.

Our name is inspired by the Spanish word for loggerhead sea turtle, “caguama,” and we give back 1% of our revenue to protect ocean life through 1% For the Planet.
